Expectation - a Poem
A writer without any words
Creates a story nobody has ever heard
Expecting nothing: as his voice is without any sound
An artist without any paint
Creates a painting with his mind
Expecting nothing: as his mind is clouded
A knight without a sword
Fights his battle alone
Expecting nothing: as like a boxer, he is too scared to fight
A sailor sails over treacherous seas
In search of treasure
Expecting nothing: as the treasure map is still undiscovered
An insecure girl
Searches for a best friend
Expecting nothing: as we are made to think it’s a pretty person’s world
I can’t be a poet, so I’ll be the poem
Like a lantern without any light
The sky without the sun
A dreamer of someone else’s dreams
Waiting to be awoken!!
The hardest question to probably ask someone is "Who are you?" It's a question without any right or wrong answer. You may go through life just trying to find an answer to such a question, for a writer, its like trying to write a story but knowing no one is going to listen/read it. I guess this poem reflect my thoughts on how I struggle to come to terms with whom I am....Its a working process with no due date. So until I find a suitable response to give to you...I tell you solemnly "I am me"...Thank you all for taking time out to read my poem and look forward to reading your comments about this poem :)
