Eyes Vol.4: Luck of the Draw

Updated on May 2, 2013

Another Note

Chicken Scratch
Ashes and Rubble
Leaking from
The child's mind

A heart so heavy
It fell to the bottom
Where no one
Could hold their breath
Long enough to find it

Sometimes nothing
Seems to make sense
Sometimes sense
Doesn't seem worth making

Everything you fix
Is meant for breaking
Everything you give
Will soon be taken

Life cripples itself
To walk again
When it seems too real
You begin to pretend

Islands Apart

Mesmerizing Mistakes

Shredded bits of scrap paper

I can put them back together

Take notes

Bold strokes

A hot poker

To stress the fire

Death Before us

Birth around you

Someone gifted

An earth

To ground me

Its all so unexplainable

Yet vividly memorable

If i understood any more

I wouldn't love it so much

Softly Speak

With sunken cheeks
She's a creep
I'm her keeper

Heat me
Melt me
Eat me
Sell me

A tasty
From the troubles
Of reality
