Face Everything and Rise
Bonfire, gossips, a cup of hot coffee, friends... the whole idea is the perfect winter evening. It was such an amazing December night and they all gathered at John’s place. Finally, they are entering into their professional life. Talking about their future plans for a new job and the excitement of meeting new people etc.
James poses a question to his bunch of friends; What’s your biggest fear?
Sam continues while looking up at the stars; I am afraid of heights. He revealed the hidden truth of his life. This is my biggest fear.
My wish is to visit the world’s longest and highest glass-bottom bridge in China (Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon) which is 20 ft wide, 1410 ft long and 984 ft above ground.
John and James were listening to him. Their discussion has entered a new phase showing their fear is much more dominant than their wishes.
Now it was John’s turn. Emmm….I am afraid of water. I can’t even swim because its terror bounds me to explore different world’s known diving sites. For me, the most thrilling and inspiring diving site is "The Great Blue Hole at Lighthouse Reef, Belize" having the water depth of approx 480 ft. I didn’t express this desire to anyone and buried deep down into my heart.
A little Spark blows when hugged with chilled wind and flickering light of campfire producing a relaxing and pleasant environment.
We are the people of many unaccomplished desires because of our anxiety, fear and uncontrolled imagination. We often cling to fearful ideas or emotions. And those ideas and thoughts remain with us for the rest of our lives.
My biggest terror is traveling in mountainous regions, James added. I want to travel many places, but the one breathtaking spot I would like to visit is Lake Saif Ul Malook (The Lake of Fairies), Naran Kaghan Valley, Pakistan which is 10,578 ft above sea level. But my fear just freaked me out.
I have read somewhere that fear only exists in mind. It doesn't exist everywhere. To conquer your fear is the game of your mind. James said.
Fear gives you insecurity because you fear to cross your boundaries or limitations. It's natural that you experience ups and downs in your life and the matter of fact is that how to train your mind to fight back those insecurities created unconsciously by your mind which don't really exist in real life.
James, you are absolutely right. Sam agreed with his statement. If we analyze carefully our book of life, surprisingly we came to know that our busy schedules don’t allow us to fulfill our dreams. The monstrous fearful thoughts and hopelessness flourish the depressing outcomes.
Taking the first step is always harder. Why not decide here and promise ourselves to Change our Reaction to Fear to get positive outcomes.
John listening to all the discussion, finally said, YES, I'm In. We just need to get ourselves composed and calm while dealing with frightful situations and don’t let our fear spoil our future plans.
The choice is all yours.
