Updated on January 27, 2014

This hub is specially made for those people asking question on Factoidz. Factoidz is a leading source of factual and informational content. The mission is to provide accurate, up-to-date and useful information to the readers. Writers are recruited after they pass the trial test. The main objective is simple which is to ensure all writers are top-notch and only quality articles are created.

The infamous sign of Factoidz
The infamous sign of Factoidz

Factoidz is a place for serious writers who want to produce quality articles and earn money at the same time.

Most Important Factor...

Quality of the Content

Contents that are written at Factoidz must be original and it must have the facts in it. Only content-rich articles will be approved by the moderator. A small slip and you will see the article being transferred back to your ‘draft’ or even being rejected.

When you write for them, you have to remember that you got to insert as many factual data into the article. If you have supporting such as research will even be a plus point for you.

Even though they have a strict guidelines, I love reading their to-do articles as they are loaded with facts and all the information are correct.

Earning at Factoidz is easy if you are a good writer.

Earning And Backlinks To Factoidz

For writers who want to earn extra money by writing, Factoidz could be the place for you if you are able to write quality contents. You are paid for every 1,000 views made from the range of USD 1.00 to USD 5.00 depending on how well your article is written and its popularity.

You will receive an automated payment monthly using PayPal only and there is no country-limitation. Currently, they have a new scheme where the more you post, the bonus you will earn. Basically what they trying to do is to promote and ensure a stable streamline of articles are created on a daily basis.

Articles moderation is very strict here. Articles which have the slightest mistakes are rejected and it will be move to pending for changes. If the moderator thinks that your article is not good enough, there will be a very high chance of getting rejected.

As for promotion, Factoidz are mostly into own community viewers. I do not see much traffic outside of Factoidz but within the community, you will stand a fair chance. Most of the writers here are veteran and if you are a newbie writer, then you will be bombard with tons of negative comments. You got to keep up the motivation and ensure you are able to create a better article the next time.

Must Know Facts For Factoidz

Copyright Issues

Once your article is published, you are unable to edit (you could edit if you are promoted to a Staff Writer which I will explain more later on) or even delete your articles. I dislike the feeling as it means that we are giving them the copyright to it. However, you are free to publish the article after 3 days (72 hours) of publishing at Factoidz.

Writer’s Ranks

There are three ranks in general which consist of:

  1. Member - You first join as a member for reading only. No posting or publishing allowed.
  2. Factoidz Writer - Once a member, you can apply to be their writer. You get paid for your content per view.
  3. Staff Writer - Once you post at least 20 articles and you are actively giving opinion and helping out in forum, the moderators and admins will consider giving you a promotion. Staff Writers will have the ability to edit their articles.

The Downsides

The downside of Factoidz is obvious. You will be demoted from rank or even serve a permanent ban if you are not careful. A simple flag by others will land you into either a short or permanent ban.

Once you get a ban, all your earnings will be zero and you have to reapply to be a writer again. However, do bear in mind once you serve a ban, it will be very tough to get back into business!

There is also no support team for Factoidz. However, there is a forum where you can post your problem and hope for reply. Emailing to admin or site moderators will normally lead to either no reply or long awaited reply (most of the time after 1 week or so).

Another downside which I consider a major disadvantage is that Factoidz has no Google Adsense. Therefore, you have no choice but to stick to the pay per view option. It really depends on how you see it but I do prefer having the option to pay per view and Google Adsense at the same time. Greedy me!

Am I attracted to Factoidz? Oh hell yes I am! But at the same time, I have seen many people and even close friends of mine who got tired of Factoidz for their strict guidelines. Factoidz is well-known for their strictness and it is very normal for articles to get rejected. I even have a friend who spend one whole day (the poor guys off day) writing 6 articles with all the facts and research made and got 5 of them rejected. He spend roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes on each article and yes it is really a bad incident and experience.

The next thing I knew was he quited Factoidz and went over to other sites. What a waste! Back to story. I would say writing for Factoidz is good but you must ensure that you can cope up with the pressure.

Regardless of the pros and cons I have stated above, I still feel Factoidz is worth joining as you can easily brush up your writing skills at there. You will get reply from moderators and even fellow members in order for you to improve. I guess this is something really special about Factoidz. If you are just starting to write, post one or two article per week at Factoidz to earn some constant income while you are slowly improving on the writing skills.

So what are you all waiting for? Join Factoidz now and start writing quality article while earning cold hard cash!

Something must have happened to that site since you wrote this hub. Here's a link from someone who wrote for Factoidz (now called Knoji) and had a really bad experience:

It might take some time as the moderators are human as well and we all have real life jobs to do. For your information, the site is good but to get approved, it takes time. Are you able to login? If yes, check your status and see what it is now. :)

I have applied as a freelance writer and also submitted my application but I did not get any reply. Does this mean I am rejected. Please do reply.

The thing i like about factoidz is that they are strict. Even though that means you may get an article rejected sometimes, i like that the articles there are good quality and there's a lot of good information there. I have 56 articles right now and i get around $30 per month on traffic right now. They have lots of tools to help you promote your work along with other writers. You can earn the most, though with the bonuses they pay. I get about $1.10 to $1.40 bonus for each article i publish, so that adds up if you publish a lot in one month. I also do the product reviews which pay about $10 per review, and you get the keep the traffic earnings on those too. Overall its harder than other sites to get approved but you do earn more.

@nicregi, you don't say how much you're earning on Factoidz. That's one reason people have reservations about sites like Triond.

For instance, if I write a Hub on HubPages, I expect it to make $20-$30 a year. So I wouldn't bother writing for a site that paid much less than that - for instance, I wouldn't write for $2 upfront payments on Helium.

    Hi there again.

I going to be very frank. I heard people said many things as this is life. Let me give you a few examples.

People said Triond doesn't pay to them and cheated them. I write for Triond for months and nearly a year now and I get paid every month if I reach my minimum payout.

I heard people say Factoidz is a scam and etc etc. I write there about the same time I started with Triond and I get paid every month without problem.

This is life. Everything and every one has their own opinions and as long as we are being paid according to it, I believe there is no problem.

As for me, Factoidz is great as I see they banking into my PayPal every 1st of the month without fail.

    Hi Trsmd.

Thank you for your time and I am sure that you are aware that as an online writer, you don't put all your eggs in one basket. Factoidz is great place as HubPages as they actually pays you for 1,000 view. It doesn't help to earn extra money a month doing nothing but again, it is totally up to you :)

    Have a great day!

    Hi Teresa Schultz

Thank you for your comment! I love to write and it is my motto to speak the truth in writing. I strongly believe that is the base for all writers around the world.

Again, thank you for reading my article and for your meaningful comments!

I joined Factoidz just recently, and am quite happy there, so far, with 3 articles accepted and published. I like your honest review that highlights both the pros and cons of writing for Factoidz.

    Hi viking305

Thank you for your comment. Yes it is true. I was also shocked to see it (didn't read the terms properly) but what done is done. As long as it is still generating some money then is fine.

I used to make Factoidz my main place to write. Since I found HubPages, no place is better to be frank.

I just write about one article per week at Factoidz due to it's bonus activity :)

Thank you for time too viking305!

Hmmmnn very interesting article. I apprecieate why you would like this site but to be honest any writing site that does not allow the writer to keep the copyright of their own articles is definately not for me.

Hubpages and other writing sites are better for me
