Fallen Petals & Strangers

Black Roses

Revenge & Roses

There's more to a rose
than its hue-
soft peach, deep blue.
Caress the stem,
you'll see
the point I've got to prove.
Blood on your hands once again.
When will you learn?

Petals on the floor.

Damn, why do they always
blame the women?

You've got blood on your hands
from trying to test me.
Little boy, don't play around
in the beast's belly.

Petals on on the floor.
Enemy headquarters.

Failed Relationships

Loss arguments,
we were victims to one another.
Play around, push me down
like sister and brother.
We'll always be rivals.

I don't like flowers.
Why'd you buy me roses?
Petals on the floor.

Closeness.
I forgot what it
felt like.

Failed relationships.
I think this is an ode to you.
Do I look old to you?

He was too clingy.
I was too stingy,
too clear in my thinking.
He persued his dreams.
He wanted to fly away
with me, only me.
I said, "Leave me be.
You're not like me."

Petals on the floor.
Blood on your hands.
Your mother will mourn.

You wrote songs
while I did poetry.
You tricked me.
Don't say we're the same.
I know the truth now.
I'll get over you some how.

Failed relationships, situationships
this is an ode to you, I guess.
From the times I didn't give a shit
to my confession.

You're the one I'll always miss.

It's not safe to speak on it,
just breathe on it,
and believe me.
That crazy man
is obsessed with me.

False hope, you gave me.
Stress and excitement, I gave you.
Lies and lies he gave her,
but deep inside she always knew.

I guess this is an ode to you.
The first, the newest,
the sober hero,
and the drunken nuscense
I've loved you all.

Roses & Wine

I've had enough
with you trying to test me.
I'll teach you not to play
in the beast's belly.

Her stare.
His kiss.
Her tenderness.
His protection.
His need to offer protection.
Even when no one is against her, he'll defend her.

Bloody petals on the floor.

Her hand in his, warm.
Warmth is what I miss.
I'm numb, but still shivering.
What happened to protection?

She knows what he likes.
Your needs are out of my site.
You never protected a woman,
not one day in your life.
You know what I'm talking about.
You remember the night.

Spilled wine mingles with blood on the floor, it's the enemy's headquarters.
