Farewell Whitney

Updated on June 13, 2013

If you would have stayed

You would never have been in the way.

But you left

And you should know

We will think of you every step of the way.

We will always love you Whitney

The music you gave us

Helped get us through the hard times,

Bittersweet memories

When love didn't quite go our way.

Your voice was like an angel

That sang away the pain

And you have no idea,

How much we wanted to,

Help sing away your pain too,

But you left us much too early.

Still we will always love you.

Nice use of her most famous song to compel your reader. Enjoyed this so much. She will be a miss. I just couldn't get going on a Whitney poem. I cleared the screen a million times before I gave up. My poems sounded either too sickly-sweet or too crass. Couldn't do it at all. My first time ever for writer's block! When's the next challenge, Philly?

Such a beautiful person with a beautiful voice. She will be missed but her music lives on.

      A lovely tribute

A great tribute for a beautiful lady with the golden voice.

So sad and she will be missed.

My heart goes out to her family ,especially her young daughter.

      Thanks for sharing.

      Take care
