SACRED-SPACE

Had tossed and turned all night

Arose with the sunrise

My bags already packed

Mostly relieved and glad to go

Took my pride, left my ego

Found a sacred space inside of me

Held my breath and took a leap

Sacred space I have found within

Sacred space, I let go and let God in

I could see the look in his eyes as he loaded the back of the truck

Wondered if he was grieving or just coudln't wait for my leaving

He could never understand my faith

Just couldn't find reason

Sacred space I have found within

Sacred space I let go and let God in

Sacred space keeps my faith,

Keeps me believing,

The Holy Spirit has taken grace.
