Floating Flower (tanka)

Updated on June 6, 2013

Endlessly floating

In circles it created

The flower lost sight

Of the shores which gave it birth

And the urge to go back home

      Mhatter99...Sometimes it's just easier to float through life...stopping to think takes work and energy , seems this is the trend of todays' society..well written and enjoyed

      Very beautiful, yes, a lot of us will just float with no hope or reason of our destination. Great imagery.

      Voted up +++ and sharing

      God bless, Faith Reaper

      Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky (Tagore)

      The flower is a soul, lost to heaven. What a beautiful expression. Voted up and beautiful.

      Your choice of picture was perfect for your contemplative verse.

      I also like the fact that the human flower creates a love-heart with her airy dress.

      All the best,

      Sometimes going home represents regression. Then again, spinning in circles offers no direction.

      'Lost sight of the shores which gave it birth and the urge to go back home'? Wow, that hit me like a ton of bricks... but they are beautiful bricks :D ... so much in such few words!
