Flowers Follow (poem)

Updated on August 16, 2012

A teardrop to some flowers follow me

A sigh to wished for words once more awake

A broken heart another chance to take

A moment which was never meant to be

-

He wanders through the mist of a mistake

The clouds of doubt now rules his certainty

As streams of pain consumes his memory

And as he dies his world begins to shake

-

Unclear from here where storm had found its start

Which form this rift that tore between these two

From here such winds are endless realms away

-

And she it seems her tears weren’t far apart

With flowers followed words of I love you

Another bless’ed tie was formed that day

Great job with the video! The poem was rather sad...ending a bit happier for at least the woman. I guess it is open for interpretation. Only the writer of poetry knows the true meaning. The rest of us can guess.

Beautiful sonnet! You write these so well - they just flow so smoothly and the words you choose are delightful. I come here expecting great poety and I am never disappointed. I also love the video and photo.

Flowers do not heal all wounds...nor does time..

It's carrying on in the face of pain that separates the live-ers from the marty-ers..

      Mh -

Help me out here. I'm reading all the previous comments. I may be way off base, but this seems to me like the agony of a cheated on lover, and the story of his girl getting together with the other guy. If I'm off base, let me know, but if I'm right, and, unless there's beauty in tragedy, than this is the harshness of one lost and the joy of someone who may not deserve the joy she's receiving. Again, I could be way off base. Let me know! Whatever it may be, great poem!

Beautiful! I love your poems, have you ever written a book of poems and published them on Amazon or Create a Space? You should Matt, it would do well. Thanks for the cool video, it fits perfectly. Voted up! You Rock!
