My first born and cherished baby girl,

welcome little one to the world.

Wrapped in pink so soft and sweet,

I stare at you and start to weep.

Learning words and standing tall,

I'll always be there should you fall.

Playing dress up,

as a princess most days,

I'll forever remember this childhood phase.

Driving cars and dating boys,

your putting away childhood toys.

Soon you'll be off and on your own,

My beautiful daughter,

Oh how you've grown

Through disappointments and loved ones taken,

I've tried to keep your heart from breaking.

With love, hugs and kisses,

these are my wishes.

Love yourself through and through,

see yourself as other do.

You'll make your future with little strife,

I love you my daughter,

for all of my life
