For the love of Coffee (and chocolate!)

Updated on December 30, 2011

COFFEE COFFEE COFFEE!!!!!

I don't know many people that don't drink coffee. It might not be all the time (which is not good for you) but it's coffee all the same. I am a coffee drinker. I make a pot of coffee two or three times a week and my hubby and I drink that one pot between the two of us the morning I make it. Sometimes we only have one cup each but it's still drinking coffee.

So I decided to look up what coffee can do for a person. I now some of the side effects it has but what can it "cure"? Here's what I found out.

Cellulite - (Really? that's what I thought) - Use warm coffee grounds and massage them into your skin where cellulite is present. Wrap the area in plastic wrap for 20 minutes and do this 3 times a week. Have not tried this and not sure if it works but hey, it was part of the research!

Prevents hair loss and cures baldness - OK for me this one is NOT true. My hair seems to fall out more when I drink coffee. Then again, I'm not bald so maybe it's working right LOL

Eases muscle pain - drink before working out to lessen muscle pain afterwards. This might work, I normally drink my coffee first thing in the morning and then work out and I don't have muscle pain so YAY for coffee :)

4 cups of coffee a day has helped lower the risk of depression in post-menopausal women - I'm not post-menopausal yet so I am not sure about this one either.

Migrane Cure - Oh yes, I know this one works! I suffer from migranes (not all the time thank God) and when they hit hard I go to my coffee (and chocolate) for my cure!

So there ya have it, some coffee cures....do they work for you???

And then there is CHOCOLATE!

And then there is Chocolate, I could not live without my chocolate! I don't eat a lot of it but I do LOVE it! All kinds, all flavors, all shapes and sizes.

Cures for Chocolate include:

Cough Remedy - huh? I didn't know that one. I normally use Gobstoppers (by Willy Wonka) for this. I might have to try chocolate next time!

Lessens anxiety - Yea, I can understand this. I'm not normally an anxious person, must be the chocolate!

Relieves diarreah - Not sure about this one either but hey, it's worth a shot.

While doing my looking around I found a Chocolate For A Cure website. It is for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I have a 15 year old cousin who is now fighting Leukemia and this might just be something I invest in. Here is the link. . . . .

I totally understand that most cures are from the caffeine that is in both of these things but it was fun seeing what other people think.

Do you have any cures that coffee and chocolate might help with??? Please feel free to share it with us!
