Forms of Haiku
Always Learning!
The other day it was raining. I was waiting in the car for my son who was in the store. As it doesn't rain much in my neck of the woods, I was waxing poetic on the sound and image of the rain. I decided to try my hand at writing haiku again. It's been many years since I have written them but Hubpages have inspired me to get back into poetry again. So I played around a little with some thoughts and came up with these. I hope you enjoy them!
Rain
the rain patters soft
gently on my car window
trailing down its sides
Friendship
Friendship's a good thing
We love, we share and rejoice
in those we call friends
Let go
To enjoy the day
let go, embrace, luxuriate
'til its all you feel
Peace
Some have one request
to live alone in quiet
to be left in peace
Perspectives
Different Perspectives
we experience
differently, yet the same
each, another story
A New Day
So many moons pass
Befire we enjoy the light
Of a brand new day
