The Beautiful Life We Choose to See

Updated on November 26, 2013

Forty Years

I will....

kiss you in the rain,

hold your hand and watch children splash in a fountain

share licks from your ice cream cone

watch sunsets on a beach

make love to you under a tree on a summer day

sit on a dock as we dangle our feet

read to you as I lay my head in your lap

scream your name

wet your face with my tears

play in the snow

ride a ferris wheel

get stuck at the top

let you carry me to bed

and wash my hair in a claw footed tub in the morning

pick a fight with you

have angry sex with you

make up with you

love you everyday

wish for you every minute

call for you at the end

see your face as the last

Wait for you in the next.

Sounds awesome! I felt like this in the beginning of my relationship, but 3 years into it, the sexy heat has died down a bit and replaced with something much deeper. I can't quite explain it in words but one big change is I am more satisfied from a deep conversation than I am from a physical touch.

Well you're pretty amazing yourself - so it's that old adage - it takes one to know one.

I just love how you write from your blessed heart and this is absolutely a title to die for .

Sending warm wishes from Colin and his cats Tiffy and Gabriel on a rainy night by the lake but all three of us got to see the daybreak and the sunrise this morning over the lake and that was a real treat.

Oh my, that's quite a journey. Packed with quiet emotion, looking back through the good times, the uneasy times, the times to recall and remember. Good piece.
