Forty the New Thirty?---A Haiku

Updated on May 02, 2012

Forty is Thirty,

Mass deteriorating

Refuse to grow old.

Live your life King size,

Savor each moment all day,

Shun away your grief.

Accept the new age,

Let seniority take stand,

Be responsible!

Savor each moment every day, (9)

      Savoring each day's moments, (7)

Just a suggestion. I like and appreciate the thoughts.

      Hi Racin,

Sure, you are 26 dear. Heart should definitely grow younger as we age. That helps us age well and take up the challenges easily.

My message is to act mature. 'cause I have seen 40 year old women still act kiddish which makes me feel...grow up woman!...lol

Thanks for the read and 'am glad you liked the above. Wishing you joy and fulfillment, always!

      Ruchira,

Age which doesn't go after coming, I've witnessed

Youth which doesn't come after going, I've witnessed.

This is life. I always believe in living life to its full. Every destination has its flavor. Let us enjoy it and live with no regrets.

You seem to be specializing on haiku. Good. Best wishes as I think you have found your favorite genre.

I just turned fifty and I'm so grateful and blessed that I have reached this far, in this journey that is called life.

We have to accept our age and age gracefully. To walk around feeling miserable because of every new wrinkle that shows up on our face is such waste of energy. Looking in the mirror, seeing tiny wrinkles around my eyes, makes me proud, because it's a sign I have been living.

Beautiful and positive haiku, Ruchira! By reading it, I understand we have the same attitude towards aging with dignity.
