Free from You Rant - A Poem about Anger

April is National Poetry Month!

Celebrate National Poetry Month by sharing a poem or reading others' poetry! Try a rant, like this one I've written. It could be very therapeutic. #11

My Rant

I am sick to death

Of all of you—

Traitors and liars,

Backstabbers

And any other bad name

I can’t think of right now

Or was taught better

Than to say.

Better than you sorry s.o.b.s

Who schemed behind my back

And never asked

Or gave me a chance

To defend myself

And what I was doing—

And doing RIGHT—

BECAUSE I was doing right!

Right, true,

With a clear conscience

More than anybody can say

For you conniving

Selfish and mean,

Idiotic fools

Who will get

Everything coming to you.

My loathing for you

Is only outweighed

By my great pleasure

In not having to

Look at your smug

Self-righteous faces

Another day of your

sorry, pitiful lives.

Faces I wish would

Turn to stone

And disintegrate

Into nothingness

Or the ice cold

part of hell

Like the one

You tried to put me in.

You mother…No, I won’t

Defame such a name

But just know

That anything I

Or any other says

That’s ugly and crass

Is not too low

For the likes of you scum.

What do you think about ranting?

Does it make you to feel better to rant?

See results

What you thought

Was punishing

And righteous

In casting me off

Was actually

My greatest blessing

My salvation

My release from you

I will survive

With truth on my side

While your turned up snouts

Will drown you

In your filth

As Karma or God

Or whatever comes back

To get your sorry asses.

You thought you’d beat me

But in pummeling me

You only secured

A well-deserved hell

For yourselves.

For I am free.

Free from you bastards

And free from guilt.

Free at last.

Something you will never be.

Free of yourselves.

At least I have that.

You damn a**holes, mo fo,

Sh**head losers!

May you rot in the hell

You created!!!!!

Okay, now I feel better.

I always feel better after one of my rants. Releasing anger is a great way of releasing tension. Doing it in poetry form is a bonus.

Yup, I like it! Doesn't it feel good to rant? Doesn't it feel GREAT to know - to hope - that karma will rear its ugly head and get back at those who have wronged you? Since you are a friend, I offer up my thoughts, too: may the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of those who do you wrong, and may their arms be too short to scratch! :)

Well....you certainly did let fly! You MUST be feeling better after this rant and it has inspired me to do the same except I might do mine 'al fresco' in the supermarket if anybody gets in my way tonight! :o)

      Move aside, trolley pushers

      Jools is is a mood...

Slink away from the choccie aisle,

      Jools needs some sweet food.....etc,etc

Oh yes Victoria;get it out there as it does no good simmering away inside.

I have learnt over these past ten years or so to unload and share and I feel such lighter and brighter after.

I award this one my 'Up up and away'.

Take care and enjoy your day.
