Freedom of doom: A POEM (For all our Leaders)
Freedom of doom: A POEM
(For all our Leaders)
A merger of aborted wishes trample on the congratulated speeches down at the graveyard of hushed praise-singers and their nosy dry bones,
Eyes saw galls dangle bitter-kola for the appeasement of stolen promises and scattered wishes; sycophants,
Where in the land did my soul's pride go astray?
Who saw the chicken with sweet incantations about the downfall of a crazy nation? They were right, afterall
The ants have grown grey hairs, barking in revolt to the cinch escape of stupidity from the fattened mouths of the cloaked men,
Children! Children!! Kids of a sweaty business damned for doom
What stake is there in bursting a smile of congratulations in a tell tale world of egos
I walk on a breezy slate each day
Tunes of disaster prey on my ndu
Ndi ara; the fools have sat down to share our thoughts, splitting for fun the desires of our hearts as they prank on our intelligence
Fear is feeding me, madam
I talk about them again
Our baby-kissers; men whose mouths have become foul with power littered on their fingers as they go down on young campus girls in marathon sex bouts; old fragile men, amoral women, boys in bulging pot-bellies dancing the dance of shame with looted funds
Leaders who've sat in same train for ages without movement
Condemned us on a bloody platter like the skilled thoughts of a serial killer;
Our thoughts are deep; our hearts sober
The goons are men, our brothers who had no shoes as they tell history of their sad past for the gathering of sympathy
Our votes on the plate is met with punishment, death and fortunate sorrow
Mouths mouthing moanings
Dust your pants;
What is evil has many names
The ride for our freedom is still far...
Ndu: *Life*
Ndi ara *mad people*
