~A Celebration of Life~
~Prologue~
Celebrating my grandmothers life is an honor and a gift from God, we spent the last years of her life together and it was my honor and privilege to alter my life to assist...
~GrandMother~
I'm just a branch off a tree planted long ago
in a place I knew not of, yet out of this soil emerged a woman of
great substance, beauty and magnitude, with hard but genuine love
for years I did not understand the bounty of her way
at times she left me in astonishment with the many things she would say
the rules of life she lived by, I didn't feel applied to me
but the school of hard knocks taught me a true lesson on lifes realities
as I look back over my journey and the steps that brought me here, I thank grandmother for always being honest, direct and clear
at times I laugh to myself at some of the things she said, while raising her eyes and tilting her head, "If I answer that it might lead to blood shed"
or one of her favorite lines she shared with a lot of sass and grit, "be careful where you make your bed, you may have to lay in it"
Yes! quite the comedian in her day, and God preserved her in his own special way, eighty eight years shes given to this life as a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, friend and wife
yet through the years shes always been a faithful steward in Christ, so today grandmother,
I honor you, I thank you and I celebrate your life
