Gentle Fragrance (poem)
A gentle fragrance flowing in the wind
A song familiar from some long ago
Some shadow lovers’ hearts once use to know
This memory refusing to rescind
-
It flowed across soft moments brought alive
When dreams escaped these flowers sound asleep
To form the kisses fantasies soon reap
In meadows which once lost again revive
-
But to this source of hope the sun did set
And comfort cast its call from the old days
Was easier to talk of new found ways
And slowly fall the victims of regret
-
Now no one knows the course of river’s tears
The flow of their renewal now seems gone
The curtains to that moment now is drawn
As unknown gentle fragrance reappears
