Girl Who Loved To Cry (poem)

Updated on July 17, 2012

I never met girl who so loved to cry

When happy she’d cry she’d cry feeling sad

Severe were the tears at times she got mad

She even would cry without knowing why

-

And each cut and sprain was met with a tear

A couple in love brought reason to weep

For baby she’d cry oh look it’s asleep

A hint of goodbye meant crying was near

-

Some fond memory brought moments to sob

She sobbed in the sun she sobbed in the rain

She sobbed for the people starving in Spain

For every season her tears met the job

-

This crying you ask why mind didn’t whirl

Reread the first line I never met girl

Your poem was most unusual and the image of the lady sobbing her heart out was an excellent choice! I love the song; remember it well. I was brought up with this kind of music; Nat King Cole, Bing Crosby, Mat Monroe, Shirley Bassey etc. Great artists, who had real talent!

Just one question, how many tissues does this lady go through in a month?

M, great poem and great song - I've always loved Dinah - remember the duet she sang with Brook Benton (the name of the song escapes me at the moment, but I loved it). Voted up!

I was moved by the Line " She sobbed for the people starving in Spain" my heart goes out for people who starve all over the world, while we who has been favored or Blessed with Provision of Food, we waste or eat like gluttons. We never dare to think of them that starve for food to death. We say beautiful words for the Starving & dying but who really cares from their heart and do a Beautiful thing of sending them food or money or the best going to that country and its people that are starving. People give people who already have, they never one a bit hesitate to throw the food in the thrash.

Excellent Poem from your heart. God Bless you dear!
