Poetry for Women: All She Ever Wanted
She looms in the shadows,
Carrying 6 inches of serrated steel,
Contemplating peeling off your skin
In layers like a banana peel
Cacophonic echoes of laughter
Racing through her mind
Visualizing your crimes
Why did you cross the line?
All she ever wanted
Was to build a happy home
But you desecrated her walls
Letting your lack of inhibitions roam
Now it’s time to pay
The blood price for your actions
She couldn’t get her R-E-S-P-E-C-T
But she will get her satisfaction.
