Struggle and temptation

Mother, yet again my mental jungles’,

Pretty serious ailments have begun.

Do free me from such uncomely bundles –

Those sharp-tooted talons, like the falcons.’

Life’s become a rampage of temptations;

Its great intelligence is now misused.

I beg at your forgiveness-ocean,

So many have I humbled and abused.

I have squandered my intrinsic birthright,

Languished in insecurity and fear.

Where then to find the radiance of Thy Light,

When I see only darkness everywhere?

Transform the Love that’s tainted by much woe;

Give me the gaze that blends in every Core.

Desire and Aspiration

So Hub Pages would like me to improve my Hub. Since I do not know the problem, perhaps I'll change a picture or two and write something also for aspiring seekers.

Desire - from the standpoint of the Yogi - is very necessary for life. Indeed nothing is negated really, since all comes from God or the Ultimate Absolute Reality. The absence of desire is like a stagnant pool, like those you may see in a very poor country or where health and hygiene is very limited.

Desire takes us from the life of attachments, temptations, cravings... to a life of aspiration, but without desire, it is impossible to get there. 'Nuff said.

Aspiration is the burning intensity for Truth, for Light, for meaning and purpose to it all. Desire is of this world and outward- looking, Aspiration is inward and upward-looking. Desire is of the world and in the world; Aspiration is for the elevation and illumination of the Soul.

Still, one does not jump from A to Z in the spiritual life. All is co-ordinated by the Divine according to one's Karma or package, if you like. One can move faster, of course, but for this, Grace is necessary, but I did not wish to get too heavy, just enough to satisfy Hub pages. Ha ha.

Where ever you are on the ladder of evolution is good. If you feel unhappy with it, then this may be the necessary inner urge to make progress ... the longing, need, yearning, earnestness ... call it what you must. Just don't beat yourself. Create the feeling of acceptance, as Grace is always present and knows our needs.

O.K. All that's left to do now is to change a picture or two and see what happens. This should be good karma, right? Wish me well. Om Shanti!
