Go Outside (poem)

Updated on January 24, 2014

I struggle through this moment

Reasons letting go

Days I’d come to know

Past the normal flow

Wondering to go outside

To the weather waiting there

Past the safety of my den

And familiarity

What purpose would I serve there

Wasn’t it enough

Things I had to tough

Gathering my fluff

What brought me here after all

To the comfort of my mold

Isn’t this the perfection

Others often offer out

Yet struggle burning still

What medication

Will bring frustration

Back to foundation

Let’s see as we go outside

Greeting the dreams which others won’t dare

Meeting ideas in dark hiding spots

Cheating all those which like things the same

Beating is heart at something so wrong

In this crazy world I know quite few people who live on pills to calm the nerves. I fight every day to let it not happen to me because I am an anxiety or panic attack survivor.

An amazing, powerful piece you have here Martin, that talks about fights where strength would most count.

A physical as well as emotional fight; a plethora of medication to ease the

      turmoil which resides inside.

A representation of spiritual lethargy and a tangled web of emotional

pain is brought into the spotlight.

      Well done, Martin!

Very interesting...some sinister and dark about this. Nicely done!

Wow, Mh, very interesting and powerful as to inner turmoil for whatever reasons. I say, yes, go out into the world and take a breath of life!

      Up and more and sharing
