God in Motion - a Poem
The breezes whisper through the trees.
The soft sound of water trickles in a brook.
A gentle scent of a patch of wildflowers
Draws the attention of hungry bees.
Snow melts from the top of a mountainside,
And cascades down to the lake below.
The glassy lake mirrors the mountainside
Until rippled by a doe in graceful stride.
The calmness of the sea is attacked by a gale
The waves roar and smack onto the shore.
A water spout is spotted just offshore,
The spot where wind and water prevail.
God is in motion all around you and me,
In many lands and seas and waters.
From the heavens above to the earth below,
Without Jesus, where would we be?
