God in Motion - a Poem

Updated on July 20, 2012
Source

The breezes whisper through the trees.

The soft sound of water trickles in a brook.

A gentle scent of a patch of wildflowers

Draws the attention of hungry bees.

Source

Snow melts from the top of a mountainside,

And cascades down to the lake below.

The glassy lake mirrors the mountainside

Until rippled by a doe in graceful stride.

Source

The calmness of the sea is attacked by a gale

The waves roar and smack onto the shore.

A water spout is spotted just offshore,

The spot where wind and water prevail.

Source

God is in motion all around you and me,

In many lands and seas and waters.

From the heavens above to the earth below,

Without Jesus, where would we be?

This is a beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing.

On another note, you're going to need to get some higher quality pictures. Hubpages doesn't allow pixelated pictures.

I would be in the depths of despair without Jesus. No matter what goes on in our lives, if we are thankful for our blessings, we will be able to get through the trials.

Nice poem, I know who to talk to when I need to butter up my girlfriend.

Nochance, thanks for reading, and thanks for the advice - do you know a good source for photos?

Ginger, Thanks for the comments. I agree. If we put Jesus first, everything else just falls into place.

Joey, thanks for the comments. I'm not a poet, though. This one just came to me. I'd like to think it was the Holy Spirit guiding me, because I certainly can't write poetry normally.

Some good photo sites are www.freedigitalphotos.com (I get a lot of pictures from there. Just make sure you cite them properly. It gives you a link to use.) and www.sxc.hu (For this site check the specific citation the artist has requested. Usually you can just credit their name and link to their profile page). Hope this helps. Just ask if you have any questions.

Thanks, no chance. The pictures I used from this Hub were from sxc. That's who I usually use. Maybe I just need to pick higher quality photos. I haven't tried freedigitalphotos, though. Thanks for the suggestions.
