Gone Again

Taken by my husband on one of his many trips when he was "Gone Again"

A Poem About Being Apart From The One You Love

The House is cold

I feel lonely, not alone

You are gone again

Fell asleep with my makeup on

listening to our favorite song

You are gone again

I am pulling double duty

the kids say I act moody

Gone Again

Some time alone is fine

I am glad that you are mine

but an emptiness ensues

Everyday life asks fo it's dues

I see the lines under my eyes

and know I can't disguise

Gone Again

I am like a teen once more

running through the door

when I hear the phone ring

I want to talk to my Best Friend

Gone Again

I would hate a husband or companion that worked so much they were never home. Why be together? Reality...I know happens.

Great poem. I use to feel the same way when Ron traveled so much. Glad that is over for us.
