Gray Willow Trees

Updated on November 22, 2015
Mihnea Andreescu profile image

Mihnea-Andrei Andreescu is a Romanian Symbolist/Avant-Garde poet and author of "Of Ecstasy and Sorrow".

Thunders roar a red refrain,

Hands are stiff and frozen.

Gray willow trees - ghastly poltergeists

Sing strains of silver seclusion.

Concentric circles on the surface;

-The lake sips crystal tears

Shattering shadows asunder,

Shrieking euphonies.

Entrapped in chestnut eyes,

Enticed by lips that lure,

Unleashing hollow cries,

I am,to her,manure.

      What beautiful word pictures you create with poetry!! I loved the comparison of willow trees -- ghastly poltergeists.
