Be True to Yourself - Green Tip #15
Howdy All!
This week’s topic is taking a twist, winding its way thru your psyche and inner well being. After all, in order to go “green” you must first consider and take care of your inner self.
Going green not only means saving money, conserving energy and eliminating poisons from the environment, but eliminating poisons from your mind. Do you know it takes 17 muscles to smile and 43 to frown?! That converts to having to work at being miserable, negative and ornery! How natural is that?? (I’m being very sarcastic, here…) I know certain aspects of everyday life can bring you down, but it is in our nature (and obviously our anatomical makeup) to want to enjoy life and be happy.
One of the most important lessons I’ve tried to instill in my son is to take care of your haftas (responsibilities) first, then you have time for, and the undisputed right, to indulge in and enjoy your wannas (desires). This leads me to
A Poem for you
So as not to be verbose, I’d like to share something I wrote. Hey! I’m a poet! (And don’t I know it!). See, there I go again! Seriously, this is from me to you…..
Be True to Yourself
Don’t Compromise.
If
You do–
You’ll only be
Living
Lies.
Too much of ourselves
We give to sustain
And maintain
According to the laws
Of Corporate
Mainstream.
It is a fact of Life
We can’t evade
In order to give ourselves
A Freedom
No one can invade.
But
Never forget
You are your own
Who needs
To feed
Your Soul in order
To find
Your Home.
Your Essence will thrive
By being true to
Yourself.
Will you live
Your Dreams
Or put Life
On a shelf?
Enjoy Life!
So I leave you today with this: God did not put us here to work 24/7 (that is unequivocally Man’s doing!), stress and regret! He put us here to enjoy the splendors of Nature, Life and Ourselves! So, sing when you feel like singing, be silly when the mood strikes you, dance when the music moves you and laugh– often!
As a profoundly positive writer once put to song,“Don’t Worry, Be Happy!”
See you next week! And smile– God Loves You!
Peace,
Bravewarrior
