Heart Be Still - Spring Haiku

Updated on July 31, 2016

The Redbud Tree

My first memory of a Redbud is in my Grandma Jennie's garden. Grandma was my muse, she inspired me to explore gardening, hybridizing daylilies, writing, and to read, and read, and read.

Heart Be Still

The first bee we see

redbud's startling magenta

heart be still it's spring

Burst of bright purple

while traveling down the back roads

heart be still it's spring

My heart fills with love

for the beauty of nature

heart be still it's spring

I know my heart jumps when I see those lovely buds, flowers and greenings of spring. Great Haiku you have here.

Hi Nell! Thank you for stopping by! And yes, I am delighted it is spring, although we never really had winter! It only snowed a tiny bit once, and was unseasonably warm. Tree leafed out a month early. Heaven knows what we are in for come Summer.
