Buried in this heart of coal
Buried deep in this heart of coal,
is the one who holds the key to
my soul. ...
Dirty and black from a life filled with sorrow,
she’s brought meaning into my life, a new
reason for tomorrow.
When troubles creep in and become more than I can bear,
her soft, soothing voice lets me know that she’s there.
Break apart the dirt and dark sooty grime,
and you would find love that could last a
lifetime.
Hold my heart, and pull the stitches that are sewn,
and inside you will my love that’s formed a
precious stone.
It doesn’t matter where life takes me or forces me to go,
there is only one thing that I wanted you to know.
Buried deep in the heart of coal,
is the waiting for you to unlock my soul.
