HEAVEN KNOWS - A Short (Short) Story (Time)
Eternity is endless....timeless.
Arrival time? Whenever it happens to you.
One of the easiest adjustments made by newcomers to Heaven is the adjustment to "time" here.
Realize that no newcomer arrives with a watch----even a Timex.
No one asks "What time is it?".
Eternity is timeless. We don't have to contemplate that "time is running out".
Sports contests go on until everyone has had a chance to participate and move on to something more heavenly. While games could be endlessly repeated, there are enough clips of games back on Earth to satisfy any lingering desires for what were called "instant replays", though there are no such "instants" here.
While back on Earth one might have said such things as "It's time to leave" or "It's time to get dressed and ready". Here there is "time" in abundance, and
"watching the clock" is a thing of the past, as there are no clocks, chimes, or alarms going off.
If anything, it is always time to do the right thing, never time to do the wrong thing, and we are always productively busy, never tired, and eternally flexible.
We have ample "opportunities" (not time) to grieve, pray, meditate, sing or hum joyously, and to love unconditionally.
You will see. At least all of us hope you will.
