HOW WILL I KNOW...by b. Malin
JUST ME AND MY MAC...AND THOUGHTS
How will i know when I'm old?
When I can no longer walk for miles on the beach...
When the sparkle for life leaves my eyes.
And Sunsets don't matter anymore...
And Life seems more like a chore...or a bore.
And I stop wishing when I see a shooting Star.
Or believing that most people are good...
And that my husband and I will be together, until the very end.
How will I know when I'm old?
When men no longer give me that look...
It shouldn't matter, but it does.
How will I know when I'm old?
I guess when someone refers to me that way.
It shouldn't matter, but it does.
And my children no longer think I'm hot.
And my grandchildren ignore me...
And my husband stops making love to me...
I could become that eccentric lady and grow my hair long.
While sitting in the window, playing my favorite song...
And writing my Prose and Poetry all day long.
How will I know when I'm old?
I hope that I'll be too busy to notice.
Or that it really won't matter anymore.
