Haiku Spring
By Larry L. Conners
Cherry tree in snow...
Soundlessly cries with pink tears...
A Bouquet of Spring !!
Cherry blossoms fall...
Ancient pond accepts their kiss...
Trailing limbs embrace.
A riot of color...
The Earth dressed in pink today...
Coming out party !!
Precious air-borne gifts...
Gray boulders in festive mood...
The Color of Spring.
Waterfall crashes...
Cherry trees soften the sounds...
Beauty and the Beast.
Such perfection reigns...
In silent contemplation...
A Gift for the Soul.

Hi Larry! It's been a while! But I see you are still painting those beautiful words! My favorite tree is the cherry tree. This hub just made me appreciate them even more! Just lovely!
Brilliantly presented with such lovely photos and well written
Great haiku!! Spring is a time of renewal. The pictures are also good.
Simple yet lovely. Enjoyed reading. ;)
Such charming haikus!
Cherry blossoms fall...
I especially liked:
"Ancient pond accepts their kiss...
Trailing limbs embrace."
Up and beautiful.
A riot of color...
The Earth dressed in pink today...
Coming out party !!
Your haiku beautifully paints for me the pristine and silent beauty of the first harbingers of spring. I see it in my mind w/o your lovely photographs. Well done!
Beautiful. It is wonderful that you share your talents and creativity. Very enjoyable hub.
Yes - I can visualize that. Thumbs up!
I can appreciate how that would be so. I so admire it done true to form and still with the poet's touch infused all in it - even without the freedom of actually depicting it in it. That is mind blowing, really. Years ago I read some Zen haiku and was just amazed. I had to get my mind around that utter simplicity and its trimming off all but the essence and formulating it into the haiku mode. Seems much like other rituals of that philosophy - clean, nothing superfluous, and right-on-the-bull's-eye clear. Lovely - simplicity at its most refined.
How refreshing to see some actual haiku shared. These are especially lovely, maven. The cherry tree in snow - both haiku verse and photo are truly delightful. The captions for the beautiful pictures are even poetic.
Amazing, spectacular and beautiful.I like the Haiku Spring.
Nice, Nice, Nice! Haiku of spring. I can smell the brezee from here. Love it.
The best thing about Haiku is how close it bring us to the nature, to it's beauty and it's lovely scent which then flowing into something more universal then nature itself. That is why we love it, right?
Thank you. :)
This reminds me of a beautiful white flowered plant that showered the ground with a scene perfect for a wedding.
Simply beautiful. You have such a talent when you can use so few words to paint a picture. Haiku is so difficult to write but you have succeeded beautifully. Simply love the pictures too. I love Spring time.
Not that you need another person giving you a brownie button but Your Haiku is excellent and as you put it well disciplined. If there was more to it then a homage to nature it was initially very hard to tell.
I read your comments in the forums and agreed with every point you made (not to mention the fact that I'm a high school English teacher as well.) Anyway, I thought I should stop by and I'm really glad I did. Your haiku is refreshing-- I've read many here on hub pages and yours is well- crafted and beautifully imagistic. I especially liked this one:
Cherry blossoms fall...
Ancient pond accepts their kiss...
Trailing limbs embrace
Glad I ran into you here. Hope you get a chance to visit me sometime as well.
Loved this one and so decided to come back again. Lovely, Larry
Love and peace

Beautiful Haiku and very descriptive
Blossoms be constant
annually returning
my heart to the spring.

Lovely visualisation and guiding verse floating gracefully towards the up button. Well written Larry, Thank You Take Care Sir. Did you notice the fin in the pond??
Your haiku reminds me of Japanese poetry during World War Two. I recall one poem comparing kamikaze pilots to cherry blossoms, and so maybe that's why that feeling screams out to me. You have a beautiful way of praising nature's glory.
Larry, my friend - your words are so beautiful. And the pix complement them beautifully. Thanks for sharing.
Thought I had commented on this one some time ago - certainly remember reading it! Anyway it was a good experience to come back to.
Love and peace

Beautiful poem along with nice pics, but they were little blurred. Overall, a nice experience. Read your other hubs too. They were also interesting. Joining your fanclub and would like to invite you to join mine. :)
A right lovely Hub, mate. I enjoyed your poetry and the pics are nice, too. Thank you for this pleasure.
So beautiful. In a world where too many celebrate the ugly side of life it is refreshing to glimpse the beauty.
A very nice write to celebrate the beauty of spring...those cherry trees really bring it home. Nice work, Larry!
The pics are so beautiful and peaceful, the colours from the blossoms gorgeous.
Beautiful Maven. You seem really to have mastered the form. And the photos are beautiful too!

You have captured the essence of haiku, simplicity and beauty. Thanks.
Namaste.
Very Very cherry cool Haiku. You wield words well.

I can never get to write lovely Haiku verses like yours... I usually am spontaneous and weird -- instead, I do matches, coffee cups and stuff on my desk. I think something may be terribly wrong with me! (lol!)
I could use a stand-still moment. Thank you, Larry
glad you are doing fine now. be well. =)
lovely, lovely haikus! how are you, larry?
Such beautiful words. I really enjoyed this. Our trees and flowers are in full bloom right now. With over 40 fruit and citrus trees we have quite a colorful display right now. I try to absorb life's beauty every day. I stop for a moment or two each day and just look around at all of the miracles of life.
Larry, have you stopped writing??
great...
lovely and like a sweet morning spring is here, Maven, I am glad you have another one again, Thank you, Maita
Beautiful and inspiring Haiku, thank you for sharing.
You're a Jar Head (retired) AND a talented Haiku writer! What a talented man!! And again, thank you for your service to our country. The Haikus and photos were just lovely!
I agree with all of the compliments. And the photos were just spectacular.
Beautiful poem, along with glorious pics!
Ah the beauty and brevity of life encapsulated in a pink blossom...behind Kawasaki Station there's an avenue of cherry blossom - they bloomed overnight and were blown away in about a day. The limbs embracing with the lake caught my inagination and eye...as did other lovely images. Thanks for these enjoyed!
Just in time for Spring!
Haiku is great......... my students love it..........
Pictures are beautiful, thank you!
Very nice, and thank heaven's it's spring. :) I mean, the ONLY problem I can find with spring is that it's not summer...but I'll take it.
You definitely have a gift when it comes to language. Thank you for sharing it with us. Glad I stopped by.
what a beautiful poem. just in time for spring. have always liked the cherry blossoms of springtime. great pictures also, makes me wish i was there. :)
you too. it's nice that someone else cares about the underbirdz and we are all underbirdz now, my friend. I pray for the disenfranchised all over anyways and sadly now that includes many americans.
dorothy day said in her time that what her generation needed was 'a revolution of the heart'. we still need that today, more than ever.
