Half The World - Poem By Cathy Nerujen
Half the world is sweetness,
And half the world's in fear –
See your eyes, they sparkle
And your lips are drawing near.
Half the world is blinded –
But half the world can see me –
And like the stars that float above –
Your eyes so soft and dreamy.
Half the world is watching -
The other half’s asleep –
Your lips and tongue they take me –
A Hundred Kisses deep.
Half of us forgiven now,
But half of us are punished –
I pour my heart out on this page –
Now half this poem is finished...
Half the world is floating –
But half the world is sunk.
Your passion – my immersion –
Like potion I have drunk.
Half the world’s been poisoned,
The other half is healing –
You trace a rivulet of skin –
This ecstasy I’m feeling.
Half the world needs loving,
While half the world it pines –
It longs for “Love’s Attention”
As part of God’s Designs.
Half this world has crushes –
And then half of it is smitten –
And although this poem’s finished now,
Only half this love is written.
"One half of the world does not understand the pleasures of the other half."
