Happy Valentine's Day a Rictameter Poem

Updated on March 20, 2014
Source

Hubbers

To all of you

Happy Valentine's Day

You all make my days happier

Through reading, sharing, writting, everyday

Don't know what I'd do without you

All my inspiration

I get from you

Hubbers

This is my first attempt at a Rictameter Poem. I hope that I did this correctly.

Wikipedia says:

"A rictameter is a nine-line syllabic structure typically used in poetry. The lines start at two syllables, incrementing upward by two to ten in the fifth line and ending with the same two syllable word as the first line."

"Because this form involves a fixed syllabic count, it is a natural accompaniment with haiku and other fixed-syllabic poetry forms."

Rusticliving, Thanks and this is what a Rictameter poem is:

A rictameter is a nine line poetry form. The 1st and last lines are the same with the syllable count as follows:

      line 1 - 2 syllables - same as line 9

      line 2 - 4 syllables

      line 3 - 6 syllables

      line 4 - 8 syllables

      line 5 - 10 syllables

      line 6 - 8 syllables

      line 7 - 6 syllables

      line 8 - 4 syllables

      line 9 - 2 syllables - same as line 1
