Hats Off To Winter ( a Haiku)
Hats off to Winter,
A most windy time of year.
My hat went missing.
Errant breeze, insists,
Did so catch me unawares.
Twenty bucks, kissing.
Ice on sidewalks spread,
Makes me want to stay in bed.
Bruised bottom, nursing.
Money flies away,
At the picture show, one day,
No reimbursing.
Hats off to Winter,
On the bench, found a splinter.
Me, almost, cursing.
Bus just passed me by,
Away, my rider did fly,
My day, rehearsing.
