Have You Forgotten?

Updated on January 30, 2012

You say that you have changed

That your ways are not the same

That you must have been blind

To leave our life together behind

You ask how I can just walk away

And say, "There is nothing left to say"

Well, it was your lies

So many alibies

It was all those years

I cried so many tears

Have you forgotten all of the mean words spoken?

Have you forgotten how my heart was broken?

Loved this piece. I liked the flow, and how each line ends with symmetric balance, i.e. words rhyme. I will definitely read more, as I love poetic expression. Peace.

Love the build-up to the last line. Voting this Up and Beautiful.
