Hear My Cry - The Voice Of An Unborn Child

Updated on March 8, 2015

How Many Voices

Since 1973 nearly 55 million babies have been aborted in the United States.

Murder For Hire

As of 2011 there were 1793 abortion providers for hire in the United States.

Hear My Cry

Hear my cry from darkened walls

From quiet comfort, the morrow brings

Acts of horror of nightmares not yet known

Hear my cry, my dreams are real, but not aware

Of things to come in my small... dark... world

Things not imagined in peaceful places of innocence

I have done no wrong, committed no crime

Yet... my fate has been sealed

the sentence is death... not time

Yet, I have no voice but yours dear mother

Yours is the stay of execution

The reprieve of which I seek

A reprieve of which

I not yet know is needed

in my small... dark... world

I only wish to live

To be brought forth into light

To the world for which I was created

But it is not to be

The day has come

Dead... man... walking

It has begun...

My screams are real...

I hurt!

From limb to limb...

My tears are real...

I hurt!

The piercing cut of Dr's tools...

The pain is real...

I hurt!

My life... it slowly slips away...

I cry, I scream, the pain...

I hurt!

And then my heart, it beats its last

Never to see the light of this world

I knew not why the pain had come

Then God's hand came down upon me

To hold me, embrace me...

And carry me home to...

The light of the world

That came before

He welcomed me home... and wept

My pain is over, my tears have dried

Heaven is home

Yet still I cry

For you dear mother...

What have you done...

You gave me no chance

The damage is done

Hear my cry...

For you.

Awww...sorry Maw Maw. It is a sad subject indeed though. Even sadder when thinking about it from the perspective of an unborn child :-( Thanks for stopping by to read it, and thanks for commenting. Glad you found it moving and beautiful:-) Miss seeing you.

Bravewarrior, thanks for reading. It is not my intention to draw painful memories from the past, but to be a small voice for innocent life of the future, that can not speak for themselves, and by so doing, maybe prevent a painful memory for someone else and hopefully save a life. Thank God we have a merciful and forgiving God. God bless you.

Without going into detail, this hits home with me. I feel the baby's cries. I feel her pain. Thankfully, God embraces the unborn and gives them a life they never would have had on Earth.

Thank you lambservant. Yes it is my hope that the words that I have shared, from the prospective of an unborn child, will ring in the hearts of anyone who happens across them that may be battling with that decision. If it helps even one, in any small way at all, to make the decision for life, then the words will have done what they are intended to do. I did include two adds at the bottom of my piece that pertain specifically to the subject matter, in hopes that they may be of some use as well. Thank you again for reading and for your words of encouragement.

I hope people will read this who are thinking of abortion. I noticed you had ads on your hub. When I wrote about abortion they disabled my ads. I didn't mind except I wanted more people to read an important message. I think you have captured the heart of an unborn child if he were able to speak knowing what we know. Thanks for writing this poignant piece.
