Hearbeat of the city

Updated on October 1, 2012
Source

The City

There is excitement to be found in the city

You hold your head up higher,

Stand up straighter,

Walk quicker.

Your blood moves faster in the city

The crowded sidewalks,

Nighttime lights

Busy streets

Anything can happen in the city

There’s the rush of power

The threat of danger

Broken sorrow

Everyone comes to the city

The rich and famous

The hopeful poor

Lost souls

Jesus can be found in the city

He walks the streets

Sits in the peaks

Waiting

For you.
