The Perfect Pairing

Updated on October 22, 2013
Beautiful View, Treacherous Land
Beautiful View, Treacherous Land

For all these things she's honored
You see to have this chance
To join her soul within this man
He's taught her how to dance

She's found a reason to be within
His life just where he stands
She needs his heart and gentle touch
She needs his loving hands

To guide her on life’s path of dreams
Of hopes unrealized
Gathering up those hopes in streams
And found within him wise

Some knowledge she has yet to know
Some knowledge she has learned
She's learned how not to sink but swim
From experiences she's earned

He's given her a peace and love
That her life’s path has shown
She could ner find in this place
Could never find alone

So with all love she gives back
To the one who’s helped her live
Within his heart she'll always stay
No More her worries live

She gives strength, he gives comfort
He gives woe, she sends it away
She gives her heart, he finds his peace
He gives his mind, she finds release

As she gives poetry, he finds knowledge
As he gives of his words, she finds peace
The story same throughout centuries
Love never to die, nor cease to be.

Kari Shinal Copyright Dec. 2006

He's one who walks razors edge
Upon which most men fear to tread
Lives’ he touches fills each need
Kindness, love, following his lead

We know inside without a doubt
As he continues to outpour
This love inside that all adore
Help's him now to live once more

For as all wind down life’s path
As the wind blows round its wrath
He always finds, pulls us through
Yes, this is what we find in you

We find a man filled with anger
As if he's taken on our danger
Taking all our grief’s and woes
Places them into his toes

Slowly, slowly he lets them go
As one by one they come and go
Too slowly as they take away
Bit's of himself every day

There is one who helps him down
The precipice on which he’s found
Where he sits both night and day
One who helps along life’s way

And though this one is very far
As if as far as the furthest star
She comes, fills the void he sees
Helps him up and off his knees

To heal the pain he holds inside
And sends it to the open sky
Dissipates as a cloud of smoke
Gives him love and gives him hope

Jo, neither comment evaporated. And I am glad they did not. Love is a journey, an adventure and it is one adventure I intend to pursue to the furthest extent I can. So much value in loves both lost and gained. Thank You for stopping by!

I just wrote a comment which have evidently, evaporated into thin air. I'll not write it all again, suffice to say, I loved this interesting poem and you are right, love never dies, the sun always shine again after the rain. :)

Love is giving and taking, and yes, finding one's soulmate can fill the void. Relationships are never easy, but where there is love there is always a way, as long as there are more sunshine than rain. :)

A beautiful and interesting poem. Thank you for sharing.
