Hello Out There

Updated on February 22, 2013

Just Think How Crazy It Would Be

Fifty years ago to be able to go on a computer and see

On a flat screen monitor

To talk to someone seconds ago unseen

You first couldn't afford the computer which had to be priced at many thousands of dollars

Just say money was no object and you were the only one in your neighborhood with such technology

You would be the talk of the town but word would slowly get around

No cell phones and i-pads or other computer devices

People would have to use their home phone or the nearest pay phone

What would people think?

Was it just a made up story or would they instantly believe

That you could talk to anyone with a click of a button

No switch board operator to say number please

I am talking to people all over the world and they can talk to me

For hours at a time for a monthly fee

We can share ideas, pictures and music within seconds

No more waiting for an answer

We can talk to every relative and catch up on all the news

Wouldn't that be something

I think people would talk

Rumors would spread

Then the day would come

That I would be so thrilled with so many ideas in my head

What a marvelous idea and so much information to share

Then as quickly as I enjoyed my fame

Things would change

There would be a loud nock, nock on the door

The guys in the white coats have come to take me away aha hehe

As they drag me off I plea

I'm just ahead of my time don't you see

They're Coming to Take Me Away

Gypsy Rose Lee Now I am the one laughing. This is the first video I added to one of my hubs.I thought for the longest time I wanted my words to be enough to cover each page.Thinking I don't have to change and be like everyone else. Then one day I will make my own videos for each one.Well three years later and still no videos I figured it's time to change and be open to so many other ideas that can only add to my words and thoughts.I to am very different than so many other people.I love that I am able to read your words and your wonderful thoughts.Change is a beautiful thing. With big smiles and lots of great ideas to toss around in computer land.Thanx so much.Have a great day.
