Hello self, nice to meet you
Not a call, nor a letter from you,
where do you fit in this maze we call life,
I ask for you through my heart, and wish for you out of the blue,
Come to light, let not the dark take shape in my life,
The many lands I have traveled to learn of you,
Yet, you still avoid me like I am not worth your time,
Just listen to my mind as it has no clue,
I feel wasteful like a distasteful wine,
What am I to do, when I know you are there,
but where,
Am I to believe this is me,
Myself fighting for me to see,
My spirit wonders like a puppy out of a fence,
Trying to make sense a piece to a puzzle,
I guess I will look on, at my life's expense
Wait to find you somewhere through this tunnel,
Can't wait to see you so I can say, "Hello self, nice to finally meet you."
