Her Angel Wings: A short poem about her
2011 Charcoal Drawing
Inspiration
When I was sixteen a beautiful girl, a classmate, a friend passed away in an accident. This short poem was something I wrote, expressing an unfamiliar pain. I had never mourned for a friend and as I had found in most my troubled times, writing a little something can help soothe the soul.
Her Angel Wings
(A Poem)
This rainy day
fits my mood.
Sorrow fills me,
anger too.
With angel wings
& a devil's sting,
she escaped
life's petty things.
So free me too
from this burdened spell.
They praised her life.
Life is hell.
Send me comfort
in my war,
my wounded spirit
is much too sore.
My legs are weary,
my heads gone faint.
Deliver your legions.
Send your saints.
