Her Fantasy Reality

Updated on July 12, 2013

Her escape was deep down inside

Hidden from the darkness

That surrounds her outside

A creation she made

In times of despair

To keep her mind occupied

Sane and protected

From the cruelty

That lived all around her

Her own little fantasy world

That she made her reality

Away from the everything

Trying to bite and enslave her

Wrongly accused

Left abandoned

Fighting for her life

She was alone

Making her fantasy her reality

Surviving the storm

Hi Caroline. Beautiful poem. For many people, fantasy is an escape from a harsh reality.

I love this one, it is so beautiful and full of thoughts that make you stop and think a bit harder about your own experiences.
