His Greatest Gift
Our Lord God is a Generous God, the Maker of Heaven and earth,
His greatest gift He gave to us, His Son, Jesus Christ, at His birth.
Christmas Morn when the babe was born, dear Mary had no clue,
One day Her little baby child, such marvelous things He would do.
Refrain:
Thank you, Lord, for your great care, your gift of love to each one,
The most wonderful gift we have received, Jesus, your own son.
Over desert sands to Bethlehem, where Jesus our Lord was born,
King Herod heard about His birth, and for this, was to be scorned.
Wise Men came from far across the sands, all to see the baby boy,
This child, so innocent, and sweet, gave to all, each, His loving joy.

The most wonderful gift we have received, Jesus, your own son.
Dear Mary and Joseph then did escape, to travel so far away at last,
Stayed there to protect the child, as King Herod's orders were cast.
Joseph, Christ's earthly father, was a carpenter, to be his own trade,
Was a finest example, did lead his boy, no better choice was made.

The most wonderful gift we have received, Jesus, your own son.
Jesus, His goals were two-fold, learning carpentry from his own dad,
Then studied to be the greatest of all teacher, a brilliant child, this lad.
The grand story has been told, the times of old, how Jesus did so live,
His great loyalty to his heavenly Father, never to cease, this did give.

All are so blessed. on this green earth, to have such a wonderful God,
Fashioned from the clays, every man, woman, and child, earthen sod.
Our Lord Jesus was so sacrificed, and His body and soul soon did rise,
To be with His heavenly Father, then, On Zebulon's streets in the skies.

For your kindness and understanding, that our lives to be of such worth.
