Intriguing Boardbook Biography of Artist from Mexico
FRIDA CATLO is the third in the Wild Bios Series from Silver Dolphin books that introduces the very young to art in this sturdy boardbook. This artist began her painting career by learning about photography from her father. She was involved in a terrible accident as a young child and spent her time while recuperating by trying her hand at painting. Her paintings featured beautiful objects from her Mexican heritage. She was invited to show her work at the Louvre in Paris, France in 1939. What a thrill! Her paintings from a Mexican artist were the first that the Louvre had ever purchased. Her works can now be found in many other museums.
FRIDA CATLO has an ISBN of 978-1-68142-558-6.
