Hope! - What Is Hope to You? - the 7th "Good Word"

Updated on June 14, 2020

Hope, the 7th "Good Word."

At the beginning of Joanne "Grace" Goldsmith's project, I pledged to write a poem for each "Good Word" in her Project.

This 7th week's poem is dedicated to my new friends and all my special Hubber friends.

What is Hope to You?

© By Shyron Shenko 2/24/2014

I made new friends yesterday, and hope they are friends to stay

When I went to a Women's Health Fair Screening yesterday

I stood all day in line

And Hope that everything would be just fine

Hope, what does it mean to you?

Jesus! Is what Susan, the EMT said

And then went on to say

Hope is having Faith that everything will be okay

Hope, what does it mean to you?

Kim, the Esthetician said

I never thought about that

Then replied, never giving up Hope

Hope, what does it mean to you?

A Promise Kept, Susan B. said

And then I asked my new friend

Debbie Ellis, who said, Hope is everlasting Peace

Hope what does it mean to me?

Susan, the EMT I must agree

Jesus! He was given up to be

Hope for everyone who Believes

Hope of the World

My Hope for you

Au fait, I do hope that Biden is elected, but scared that even if he is trump will not go quietly. I am just holding my breath and waiting for that day when his loony tune followers see him for what he is.

      Blessings and hugs my friend.

I'm sorry to have to say that hope doesn't live here. I'm afraid Trump will be reelected and finish off anything not totally dead. His plan is to cut Social Security and Medicare. Not just make people who aren't collecting it yet wait still longer to do so, but actually cut benefits people are currently receiving. And that's just the beginning.

He's done so many terrible thing and there are websites on the Net with long lists of them. Most of the time his accomplishments aren't reported and one is lucky to find them on one of the back pages of the newspaper.

I really have no hope that people will vote with intelligence as so many of them have given no indication that they have any. I think this country is doomed. I don't think there are enough apologizers to go around the world trying to persuade the people who were once our allies to be our allies again once we get rid of the disease. But no doubt Putin is well satisfied and so he will install Trump again for another round.

      Posting to FB & AH.

Take care, dear friend. Blessings . . .

I no longer harbor any hope that things will ever get better again. I think our democracy is lost and we will have dictators for the foreseeable future. Trump will all but certainly be re-elected next year and may even refuse to step down when his second term is up. He's gotten away with everything he's done so far and there's no reason to think anyone will stop him after nearly 3 years of destroying our government and our planet.

His latest at this point is to pardon a Navy Seal for committing crimes while on duty, and his next plan is to round up homeless people and put them in the same conditions (crowded filthy cells) he's holding illegal immigrants in on the border. Being poor under his rein of terror will be truly illegal and a crime. I really think he is Satan incarnate.

Hope all is well with you. Blessings, dear friend . . .

Hope to me is that there will be better times once we get a civilized reasonably intelligent person in the WH again. Read today that Pence may be coming under the microscope -- and that everything that has happened since Trump became elected through deceit and sculduggery may be thrown out, and reversed, including the entire Trump Administration. That is all appointments, administrative acts, laws signed into officiality, and Everything that is reversible shall be so. New people installed -- maybe the ones who rightfully won the election . . . Too much to hope for, I know.

Hope all is well with you. Blessings dear friend . . .

Without hope people tend to give up and become depressed. One must keep their hope alive at all times that new and interesting things will come their way and that conditions in their life will improve if there are currently problems. That is what helps people to get up in the morning, the 'hope' that this day will be better than previous days. That improvements will be achieved in our own life as well as the lives of those we care most about.

Christ is the hope of the world, but we also need things we can hope for and look forward to while we're still here in this life. Christ can be very helpful in bringing those things about, but to assist Him we need to have faith in Him and hope that He will see our situation and make it better with a little effort on our own part as well.

Poetry and drawing are definitely among your talents. Voting this hub up and BAI, sharing, and pinned to Awesome Hubpages.

Thank you Bill for the compliment, and comment. I don't think we would be here without the Hope given to us when Jesus died for our sin and giving all sinners Hope for a better life and Peace.
