Hope! - What is Hope to You? - The 7th "Good Word"

Updated on January 21, 2017

Hope, the 7th "Good Word."

At the beginning of Joanne "Grace" Goldsmith's project, I pledged to write a poem for each "Good Word" in her Project.

This 7th week's poem is dedicated to my new friends and all my special Hubber friends.

What is Hope to You?

© By Shyron Shenko 2/24/2014

I made new friends yesterday, and hope they are friends to stay

When I went to a Women's Health Fair Screening yesterday

I stood all day in line

And Hope that everything would be just fine

Hope, what does it mean to you?

Jesus! Is what Susan, the EMT said

And then went on to say

Hope is having Faith that everything will be okay

Hope, what does it mean to you?

Kim, the Esthetician said

I never thought about that

Then replied, never giving up Hope

Hope, what does it mean to you?

A Promise Kept, Susan B. said

And then I asked my new friend

Debbie Ellis, who said, Hope is everlasting Peace

Hope what does it mean to me?

Susan, the EMT I must agree

Jesus! He was given up to be

Hope for everyone who Believes

Hope of the World

My Hope for you

I love how you have accepted the challenge; you grow with each new writing. Well done and oh, yes, hope....where would we be without it?

Hope means a better tomorrow, more kindness around the world, hope for continued good health for our loved ones. Most importantly peace around the world and faith that the leaders will see more clearly the needs of we the people, no more wars! Beautiful Shyron....

Thank you Bill for the compliment, and comment. I don't think we would be here without the Hope given to us when Jesus died for our sin and giving all sinners Hope for a better life and Peace.

Without hope people tend to give up and become depressed. One must keep their hope alive at all times that new and interesting things will come their way and that conditions in their life will improve if there are currently problems. That is what helps people to get up in the morning, the 'hope' that this day will be better than previous days. That improvements will be achieved in our own life as well as the lives of those we care most about.

Christ is the hope of the world, but we also need things we can hope for and look forward to while we're still here in this life. Christ can be very helpful in bringing those things about, but to assist Him we need to have faith in Him and hope that He will see our situation and make it better with a little effort on our own part as well.

Poetry and drawing are definitely among your talents. Voting this hub up and BAI, sharing, and pinned to Awesome Hubpages.
