Hope: A Poem

Updated on August 1, 2017

Just another day of feeling not quite right,

Alone, but I'm not done with this fight,

I'm not over, I've just begun to live my life,

My friends can't help me,

I've built up all these walls,

But there's light in the cracks,

Flooding all my dark halls,

So, don’t give up, don’t give in,

We all have a past,

We’ve all struggled, felt pinned,

Under a heavy load,

But there’s hope up ahead,

Even if you can't see it on your road,

Just over that hill,

Is relief, a future,

A smile, and a thrill.
