Hopes, Dreams and Fears
Written for a friend....
Seeing the world for all it's worth,
Creates that deep rooted feeling of hope.
Hope for things yet to come
things we have yet to receive;
Breathe.....just breathe.
When life gets hard
We feel like the lowest of the low
It seems we have no where else to go.
There is hope;
To move beyond the walls that confine
Breaking down the walls in our minds
All you have to do is believe and
Breathe......just breathe.
Dreams are our hopes played out in our heads
every night we rest in our beds.
Dreams are good for the mind and soul
where thoughts and plans take mould.
Think of the wonders you can conceive
Breathe...just breathe.
Fear...our minds' greatest weapon
against ourselves
The thins we fear stack shelves and shelves
We all have an innate fear of the unknown,
Sometimes even the things we're shown.
To push pass fear you need only to believe
So breathe.....just breathe.
It is never the manner in which we fall
but the manner in which we rise.
The night is darkest before dawn.
It's always cold before it's warm.
So be the strong, sturdy tree from a small seed
Breathe......just breathe.
Our greatest enemy is ourselves
We seem fearful to be the best, most beautiful;
and remain forever dutiful
to cause ourselves pain;
denying any chance to gain.
We fear the fight.
The fight to relieve
Breathe......just breathe.
Hopes, dreams and fears
Together makes us stronger
We live longer.
You have so much to give so
Live......just live.

You have a way with words. Very beautiful piece. Dont stop writing.
Nice inspirational poem, you did well with this piece, great writing.
Trinidad? Is it very nice there? I wonder what it would be like to grow up in Trinidad? did you mean to say "where thoughts and plans take mould?" I have a feeling it was a typo, but I love the image! You are good! want to hear about Trinidad - I love the sound of the name.
'Breaking down the walls in our minds'....I loved that. Lovely poem! Keep writing...you're doing great here :)
A very good poem that is so true. Everyone now seems so caught up in their hopes and dreams, fears and tears that so often one forgets to breathe...just breathe. Thanks for sharing :)
