How Blogging Can Be For Everyone

What is blogging?

A blog is basically just an online journal with information and text that the writer is passionate about. For me, I blog about lifestyle, beauty, and motivation. My purpose is to reach as many people as I can with what I have to say and share. Others may blog about their "Stay at Home" mom experience. Or maybe they're very passionate about food and want to share their favorite dinner recipes. The great thing about blogging is you can blog about literally anything.

What If You Don't Want A Big Audience?

As mentioned above, a blog is just an online journal. There are so many articles out there talking about how blogs can make you big bucks but what if you just want a space to write and not want the pressure of a big audience?

Guess what? That's more than okay! Don't let the big blogs out there be intimidating. You don't need to be like them. For example, I have a friend who has a blog just for his poems. He has a couple of readers, me and his mom. The thing is, he likes it that way! He just wants to type out a new poem whenever it comes to him and leaves it at that.

Of course, even without sharing your blog, it may still get views and readers. So if you're okay with the idea of potentially building a following I'd leave your blog public. But if you strictly just want a blog where the only one who sees it is you, make it private. It's really that simple.

Where Do I Start Blogging?

If you just want a creative space to write and not worry about building an audience, I recommend Wordpress.com. Wordpress.com is a free blogging platform that gives you all the right tools to blog if you just need a simple space to write. You don't need all the fancy features or tools. Just go ahead and start writing what you're passionate about!

Who knows, maybe one day you'll look at your work and want it to be seen by others. If that's the case, stay tuned for my next in-depth article about how you can grow a successful blog that gains traffic!

Blogging Isn't Just For Money Making

To wrap up my thoughts, I want you to leave this article remembering that just because some people create blogs for the sole-purpose of money-making, that is not the true intention of a blog. A blog is all about you and what you want it to be.

Whether you want it to be seen by the world or just for your eyes only, make sure your blog is something you're truly passionate about.

Now that you hopefully have some weight lifted off your shoulders, go on and create your blog.
