How to make Article Writing Fun and Enjoyable .

Updated on December 26, 2013

Spending all your time deep thinking about one particular article could sometimes be stressful and boring as mentioned previously in my other articles . The next thing you know , you are short of words and don't know what else to write or say . However , experiencing a writer's block is really not a bad thing , and every writer does experience a writer's block sometimes . In fact , a writer's block is something that you can actually take advantage of - in writing more original articles .

The process of thinking is not linear - that is we don't think in a straight line . So many things from different parts of our brain goes into our thinking . The mind draws images and info from different corners of the brain to form ideas and concepts when we are thinking . We normally experience a writers block not because we stop thinking but because our thoughts have actually branched into another area of the mind . That is the mind is thinking about something that we haven't planned on writing on or something that we may not have the words to express them . And we are not able to write because you may only be restricting yourself from thinking in that direction or where your thoughts have actually branched into . And so you may not have the appropriate words to express what you are thinking at that particular moment . You end up confused , tensed up and keeping your own treasure of ideas caged in your mind .

I therefore try to overcome a writer's block and at the same time make the writing process much more fun and exciting for me by working on a broad spectrum of articles and topics daily . Doing that has helped me a lot to not only to overcome the writer's block but to also churn out more original contents for article directories . I am lately never short of words till I decide to stop writing and relax .

How do I do this ? I do so by choosing at least a paragraph from several different drafts and developing them . I switch from one idea to another different idea when the current one gets boring or when my thoughts lead me to another idea on a different topic - you know sort of get carried along by my own thoughts- and leading me anywhere it can .When you switch between paragraphs of different topics or articles that you are working on , it helps you the writer to run along with the thinking process and allow the mind to expand itself . This makes developing of more new ideas easier .

You can keep a separate sheet aside when you are drafting your article and compile ideas that occur to you as you write on your current article . This will also help to over come the writers block and at the same time develop more ideas for your subsequent works . When you are typing or drafting your content on a computer , there are lots of writing softwares that you could use for this purpose . I mostly prefer sticky notes for gathering ideas that occur to me (as I use MS word to draft or revise my contents) but you could also use quicknotes , wordpad , notepad etc depending on which one you prefer to use .
