How To Use Our Time Wisely

Updated on August 10, 2011

Practice Makes Perfect

Time is one of my biggest challanges ever.

I constantly try to find just a little more time in my day.

I take time to do some things and I run out of time to do other things.

It is like one of those word problems we do over and over.

Some jump right in and others spend time and effort pondering over their next move.

By process of elimination,

We all like to do it our own way..

I wouldn't want to listen to anyone tell me how to use my time either

But if time after time you end up at wits end

You might want to have some fun before you die

Take all you know and throw it in a book

For someone else to read

Maybe some 10,000 Pages should do well

Pictures are cool too

In your book you could tell others how you saved time doing it your way

Then take the boring and dry facts and make them fancy

Spice it up a bit and instead of eating that same old chocolate cake

Even though it is one of my favorites

Add some nuts and a little jimmies and whoa la

How wonderful is this

A chocolate cake with a twist

So if we look at the clock on the wall

That in time it has not changed at all

What can we do ?

That will make any difference ?

We can honestly say it's what we do in our day that counts

We can not make more time

No matter how hard we try

Only so many hours in our day to make us happy

We have those darn chores to do

Then we have work that will haunt us till our retirement day finally comes

You throw in some unexpected riff raff that makes your hair stand straight up

Like you have stuck your whole arm in an electrical socket

Boy does that smart

Well how about those awesome t.v. programs I have to watch

I have d.v.r. them and will watch them as soon as I can

Then their is making meals and going food shopping

How about the gym ?

I just don't feel like it today

Where can we pick up some slack and have some time to chat

Go on Facebook and now there is no time left

Now we can write down the most important things to do and do those first

Then the other things will just have to wait

Life is not always easy

Sometimes it is down right hard

If we keep trying to do the best we can

We will find a way

You might of thought I had expert advice on how to cut corners

But some how every corner I cut I had to fix it again later

So for me it is just make a list of what you want to do first

Then give reasons next to it why it is so important

Try to do the most important things that you get the most benefit from

Only you can decide

If that doesn't work put all your choices in a hat

Pick one

Go from there

Less stress and live and learn

If it didn't work then you know never to do that again

If it worked out fine then keep going until you are happy

You make all the decisions in your life

To live or to let time fly

There might be many books on the subject

But who has time to read them

When your day is done and you see how many things on the list are crossed off

You will know you did a real lot and with less stress and less pressure

When I can't decide what to do

I turn to the luck of the dice

It is the gambler in me

Sometimes I get to do things I never would of

But each time I am surprised and I had so much fun

I took what use to be a dull routine and made it a new competition

One against myself

I am so pleased

When the winner is ......

Kookoo88 I often can appreciate the computer and I also appreciate being away from the computer.I have the best of both worlds.Nellieanna You are the center of a rose. The pedals that surround you are wonderful. They have unquestionable beauty. You are simple but the bees know that is where the sweetest part is.Each pedal is attached to your inner beauty that keeps them alive without you they do not exsist.Even when the pedals fall off and die and loose all their beauty they are not worried.Next year when they bloom again they draw from the sweet center where all the beauty is and will always come.Thank you so much.I love the wonderful scent you leave where ever you go.Many wonderful thoughts fill my mind and only your beauty stands one of a kind forever in time. Thanks for keeping me thinking and wondering how to make the best use of all my time.

I wrote so much on this here, I decided to make a hub out of it. Suffice it to say - I empathize! Just don't beat yourself up. You'll make yourself sick and then what can you get done?

Great hub. I think having the internet kills any ability to use time wisely though. *grin*
